DuraHinge Strand Belts

With traditional 'flex style' belts, strands of wire interfere with each other at the 'z-bend' contact points. This design causes the belt to flex, bend, fatigue, and ultimately break as the belt travels around sprockets and nosebars.
In contrast, DuraHinge® belts* have a true hinging joint.
Our unique compound joint design eliminates wire strand interference, wire fatigue, and subsequent wire breakage. Production shut downs to fix broken wires and to replace prematurely damaged belts are eliminated so you can run your processing line for high volume production.

Unlike 'flex style' belts that have obvious gaps between wires at the 'z-bend' contact points, DuraHinge belts have no gap. The precise compound joints prevent the side to side shimmy, vibration, and poor tracking seen in 'flex style' belts. With DuraHinge, product stays on the belt, properly oriented, with no product loss or damage. Production shut downs to clear damaged product and jam-ups are eliminated so your production line runs for maximum product throughput and processing efficiency.

By using stronger, fatigue resistant steel to manufacture DuraHinge belts, we help you solve problems related to product loss and metal contamination. Our freely hinging belt significantly reduces metal fatigue and wire breakage. Not only do you retain more product on DuraHinge belts (no 'missing wire' gaps for product to fall through), but metal contamination from broken wires is virtually eliminated. With reduced product loss and fewer product rejects, you maintain maximum plant profitability.
